How to Have Homes in Beverly Hills, New York City and San Francisco

Why stop with these three cities?  What about Maui, Miami Beach, Pebble Beach?  You can live everywhere and anywhere all at once.  Sounds too good to be true?  Well, it’s not if you know a little secret.

Take a look at susansworkreview.com.  Notice anything odd? Look more closely in the right column ‘about me’ section. Still don’t see it? I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that Susan is living in the very town where you are sitting right now. Am I right? I know this because her website tells me that she’s living right down the street from me, and it also says she’s down the street from you.

When I first saw this page I did realize that Susan was likely an Affiliate Marketer and her name was not really Susan at all. But I did believe that she was living in the same city as me. Okay, I didn’t really think she lived in my city, I just assumed that she “picked” my city as her fake home. Later that day I was showing her site to a friend who is into Affiliate Marketing and he commented that Susan picked his hometown for her fake residence.

How can this be? It’s nothing more than a simple javascript that determines your location from the IP address your browser is sending the webpage. Pretty clever, don’t you think? Okay, pretty sleezy, but you get the point!

Next, you’re going to tell me that those “Girls in (my hometown) want to have sex tonight!” are fake too.
